MD Anderson at Cooper Cancer Institute Survivors are Wowed by The Voice Studios Students!

For the fourth consecutive year at Cooper Cancer Institute’s Annual Holiday Party on December 11th, the The Voice Studios students under direction of Izabela Adams provided the musical background. That background quickly took center stage as all eyes and ears were amazed at the talents of the three students who performed. Guests began sitting closer and closer to the vocalists, turning the party into a concert atmosphere as they sang along and danced, some repeatedly moved to tears by the heartfelt song renditions. The performers; Natalia Albertini, Caroline Milstead and Daniel Kaufman put on a remarkable show that highlighted their unique and beautiful voices as well as their notable professionalism. Bonnie Mehr, the program manager, was impressed to the point that she took the microphone to introduce each performer and interview them about their musical futures. Spring Plans for Cooper Concert Series!

As a result of the fantastic impression this year’s holiday concert made, planning is already taking place for the talents of the Mrs. Adams students to be showcased in a Spring Musical Healing Concert.

This concert is expected to attract over 900 attendees and will be a

tremendous opportunity for the Studio to bring the therapeutic quality of music to Cooper’s Cancer Institute patients, survivors and the community.

Congratulations and thanks to: Natalia Albertini, Caroline Milstead and Daniel Kaufman for making such a marked difference in people’s lives and for inspiring this event! More news to follow on this exciting series.

Winter Concert 2014

Winter Concert 2014

Winter Concert Music Fills the Air and Spirit!

concert2014  Students, family and guests were treated to a wonderful afternoon of music at our night annual winter santa04    concert on December 6th!   This year marked our first year at a new location which aptly reflected the     growth of our students abilities. Nearly thirty students performed a special variety of music on a range of instruments to warm and entertain the audience while bringing the joy of the season along for a musical sleigh ride. Because of our students efforts and their support from family and friends, we were able to offer the concert as a gift this year to show our appreciation for your patronage. We look forward to having future concerts at our new venue for its vastly improved stage, seating, instrumentation and sound properties! Continued wishes for a happy and healthy holiday season to all!

If you haven’t watched WHYY lately, they have a great nightly series of live concerts by current artists. We are helping fund the classical music programs this year to keep this integral musical form vibrant and accessible! If you would like to pledge, it’s easy to do at: http://www.whyy.org/support/
